BW for Commercial Project Management S/4HANA 1809

HI Everyone,

We are going to implement Commercial Project Management S/4HANA1809 to one of the client. Here , I have some basic queries mentioned below, need your inputs to understand them in order to go ahead with the implementation.

1. Do we need to have a separate BW server to run CPM ?.

2. Although it is mentioned that CPM is embedded with S/4HANA 1809 so separate installation is not required. But still want to know if there are any prerequisites or installations settings need to be shared with basis consultant to make CPM installed and work.

3.What are the steps to be followed to install Analysis office to use planning workbook.

Hi Akhil,

you do not need a separate BW server. CPM uses the embedded BW.

The S/4HANA installation guide contains a chapter on CPM that describes all the necessary steps. Here is the link to the current one:
