BOPF & S&AM - Table entries in SAP QIM got deleted

Hello,

I'm working on a SAP QIM implementation. In our test system we suddenly noticed dumps related to BO /IAM/ACTIVITY. Further investigations led to the finding that missing entries in table SAM_HEADER were causing the dumps. The cause couldn't get identified. We're sure this wasn't done manually.

When comparing the table content between the dev and the test system, all entries of BO /IAM/ACTIVITY available in the dev system are missing in the test system.

Other tables have also entries missing -> SAM_ELEMENTS, SAM_RELATIONS & SAM_STAT_VALUE.

I've learned that SAP Status & Action Management (S&AM) is the part we're dealing with here. It is somehow integrated in BOPF. However, there doesn't seem to be any documentation around.

Is there any way to get the table entries from the dev system back into the test system?

How could it happen, that the data is suddenly gone just for one BO?

What is the purpose of SAP Status & Action Management (S&AM) in BOPF of anyway?

Any advice is highly appreciated!

Thanks and regards,

Ulli
