Block material on base of status

Hi All,

In ECTR we can block documents on base of status, like IW (in work) of FR (Final Release). This configuration is set in dtype.xml
Is there a possibility block materials in same way? (on base of status)

We use object links for the materials to the documents. and system is: ECTR1.1 s4

If no what possibilities are available?

Hi Danny,

ECTR does not manage the evaluation of MARA-MSTAE field (cross plant material status) neither in mat creation, it allows you just to read the value.

At most, you can set the value as "in Project" (Z3 in our company) if you use a material template in material creation.

I've read some documentation about an external module by DSC called ++processautomation that implements several actions on documents and materials at status change action.

Anyway, I think that you could always manage the thing through BAdI DOC_BEFORE_CHANGE or DOC_AFTER_CHANGE setting the status change on linked material.
