Automatic Link tasks cProjects with one WBS element PS

Hello ,

I need some help on this topic.

We are setting up cProjects.

These projects have different tasks and these tasks have to be linked a certain WBS element. ( this can be 7 tasks link to 1 WBS element).

This is part of the Accounting Integration.

Can somebody tell me how to set this up ? Are there BAPI's that we can use ?

This custom table is an existing table in SAP or a table that you have created.

If so what we have to know is BAPI's and FM.

Maintaining the mapping table in your custom program for task type and WBS code extension => what does this mean concrete ? Which mapping table of the custom program are you meaning for task type and WBS code extension and is this the solution to link different tasks with the same task type to one WBS element in PS ?

Hi,

I am referring mapping table as custom table to maintain mapping between task type and WBS extension. WBS code extension means for certain level of WBS, you can have always fixed extension like. e.g Task type A <--> 01.01, Task type B<--> 02.01. So whatever number of task of same task type will get assigned with one WBS.

Hi Berghe,

If I understood your requirement correctly, my points would be...

You create Project in cProjects with different Tasks. And now you need to have a single WBS element to be created in PS for all the Tasks in cProjects on integration. i.e.for e.g 7 on 1 mapping.

For this requirement, you can do the Customization..  Following steps give an idea..

IMG-cProjects-Accounting Int-Make settings in the ERP-Define controlling scenario.

Here you can select for Automatic or the Manual creation of the PS Project. And in the 4th column-Contolling Level, you can actually select the Hierarchy of the WBS's on the Replication of cProjects objects(Phase, Tasks etc). Here if you maintain the level as 1, then only one WBS element will be created on replication of you entire cProjects Project.

One question, the WBS are already created or do you expect to create them automatically from cProject?

If you are going to create from cProject the best way is doing the explained by Santhosh ( but not always it is possible). If you can group all of your seven tasks in a superior level  ( phase or superior task) then you replicate only until this level... all your low level task will be linked to the WBS created for the phase or the superior task,

Is this fine for you?

Hello ,

The fact is that we do a mass upload of projects in cProjects.

In that same program we create the PS project with a structure of 4 WBS's.

This works fine.

Now the only last thing that we try to manage is to link different tasks to one WBS element based on the task type.

So is there a BAPI , call function or whatever tool to make this automatic link between the tasks and WBS-element.

The standard cProjects - PS integration is not an option.

Hi,

I believe you need to maintain custom solution to meet this requirement. You can maintain mapping table in your custom program for task type and WBS code extension.

Once we have done this but I am not remembering all the details related to FM, BAPI, etc.
