Hi Experts,
Decision points in our PPM items have following approvals process:
1. Reviewed
2. Sent for Budget Approval
3. Budget Approved- Approver 2
4. Budget Approved- Approver 3
We want to control 3rd and 4th decision point approval stages for 2 different users who will be allowed to approve either 3 or 4 . How can I set it up .
Kindly suggest.
Thanks
Saurabh
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Saurabh,
Userroles can be created in transaction PFCG. Then this userrole is assigned to the user in SU01.
When opening the decision point in detail you can assign the userrole on tab "Miscellaneous > User Roles".

Judith

Within these decision points we have multiple statuses. Can we have authorization control on these status too?
Because we have a team responsible for workflow of a particular decision points. we want to segregate their authorizations as per statuses on decision points.
Kindly suggest.
Thanks & Regards

Dear Saurabh,
You can assign different user-roles to the decision points:
User-role A can change the decision point 3 and 4. This user-role is assigned to the corresponding User in SU01.
User-role B can only display the decision points 3 and 4. This user-role is assigned to the corresponding User in SU01.
Best regards,
Judith

Hi Saurabh,
You can use BAdI /rpm/authorization to implement your own logic for authorizations. On the other side you can use BAdI /rpm/decision_point to modify the attributes.

Hi Judith,
We have a decision point ' DMD Approval' . We want to restrict its authorization to only a set of users.
We are thinking of creating a user role and assigning this role to only a set of users and thereby assigning this role to Decision point 'DMD Approval'. But, is there a way to assign this role to all PPM items ? We have this decision box common across all PPM items.
Please suggest.
Regards
Saurabh
