Assemble Components SAP ME - Difference between Find Component and Barcode field

Hello experts,

do you maybe know what is main difference between "Find Component" and "Barcode" field in SAP ME? Is it possible to configure Barcode field to add/remove some special char. from label on for example Material level?

Hi Sergiy,

as always thank you for your quick reaction on my question.

For example I did configuration on SAP ME side in this way that I add Assembly Pt Parsing Activity: BARCODE_PARSER by one of my components which I want to assemble from POD side and you can see it on follow photo:

If I try to scan the component follow Message is coming:

Do you maybe now what kind of configuration is missing in this case? Is it on SAP ME side or on Barcode device?

Hi Darko!

It looks as if the value your barcode sends out to GUI does not meet the format of the ISO standard (e.g. {RS}, {GS} or {EOT} delimiters etc). This is described in the How-To Guide. Have you checked this?
