I'm upgrading one of our linux servers with advantage database server. The new OS is ubuntu 20.04 server and the ADS 12 SP 2.
The installation was successful. I can see that the adsd process is working and port 6262 is occupied by it. When asking for the status the answer was adsd (pid 1234) is running.....
The architect software shows error 6420 (discovery process failed) and the program which uses the ADS shows the same. The server has a static IP and the hosts file is filled with IP and server name. ads.conf is configured to use IP port 6262.
I checked the logs and found two lines. One is error code 98 in rcv.c src line 1851 the second is 8004 in rcv.c src line 1855. The second one says that the socket could not be opened. Does anybody know what code 98 means?
Does anybody have any idea how bring the ADS to work? The same installation with ADS 9 on different ubuntu versions had worked without any problems.
