Hi,
I use a PCB software that can only export the PCB designs to the Autodesk 3D Studio (.3ds) format. The same PCB software uses the .3ds format to visualize 3D designs. I have the need to edit (basically, add some 3d file of some component) some of these .3ds files and some CAD experts have recommended me to use SAP VEA. Everything seems to work well, even the final operation "Collapse Hierarchy". Once saved the edited file and "collapsed the hierarchy" to a single object, automatically and hidden, the single object becomes a series of subobjects, sub01, sub02, sub03 and so on. The subobjects group, in a completely random way, parts of different components and I have not found a way for the function "Collapse Hierarchy" to work in the way that is expected. I am a novice in the 3D world and need help. Thank you for your time and attention,
