Navigating the complex world of dangerous goods compliance just got easier with the latest update from SAP. On-Premise and Private Cloud customers can now receive new and updated dangerous goods compliance requirements and compliance requirement versions (CRV). This update ensures that the most current compliance requirement versions are at your fingertips, ready to be integrated into your system with minimal effort. Our Regulatory Content Service is available with SAP S/4HANA 2023 Feature Pack Stack 03 onward.

What’s New?

The new content delivery method allows for continuous updates of dangerous goods regulations embedded directly into SAP S/4HANA. This means that as soon as the system is connected to the content service, the latest compliance information is available for use, streamlining the process significantly compared to the previous method.

Activation Still Required

However, using the Activate Compliance Requirements – Dangerous Goods app, you still need to review and activate the new CRV. Otherwise, the new version will be in the system, but not in use. For more information on CRV activation, see the SAP Help Portal.

Future Developments

Stay tuned for updates found in our Roadmap, as we continue to enhance our services to better serve your needs.

We’re thrilled to offer this improved content delivery system, making dangerous goods compliance more efficient and manageable. For Regulatory Content Service setup information, refer to the relevant SAP Notes for public cloud, private cloud, and on-premise configurations. Setup information for the continuous delivery of dangerous goods regulations into SAP S/4HANA for product compliance can be found here.

Stay compliant, stay efficient, and let SAP S/4HANA guide you through the complexities of dangerous goods regulations with ease.

Thanks a lot for the update. I am just curious, what was the "previous method" of keeping the Dangerous Goods Compliance requirements up to date? Was the previous method simply to make "adaptions" when classifying? e.g. if ADR 2025 becomes available, would the previous method be to use ADR 2023, and then adapt to make it in-line with any changes for ADR2025?

Thanks

Hi @Shush971, thanks for the question. The previous method was what you wrote, additionally every year with the on-premise release, content was updated. Have a good weekend, Michael
