Why would you need to create WWI - Parameter Symbols

If you need to output additional data on your WWI Reports for which no SAP Standard WWI Symbol is available you can create your one ones.

Parameter Symbols are used to print data from other SAP Modules - that can be accessed by information you have available on an WWI report (material, subid, vkorg, etc...)

Examples:

  • Customer - Material number from table KNMT Field KDMAT
  • Other material and VKorg dependent data

How to create you own WWI - Parameter Symbols

Newly updated SAP Note 1076165 - Creating new parameter symbols describes the necessary steps in detail.

SAP Help provides a general overview over the different symbol types here, and describe what symbol type to use when here.
