Welcome back to PLM Tech Uncovered! I’m excited to take you through the latest enhancements in SAP Integrated Product Development. There’s a lot to unpack, so let’s get started!
Requirements Management and Systems Modeling
Manage properties for a permission
You can now manage permissions at a property level within a requirement model. In the Properties panel of a requirement model, a new option Property Permissions is added to the Permissions tab. Use this option to manage access control for individual properties within a requirement model.
Manage permissions for a requirement
A new tab Permissions is added to the Properties panel displayed when you select a requirement. Through this tab, you can manage the permission levels of users and groups for a requirement within its requirement model. Previously, users can only edit permissions on the requirement models.
Authorization and permission enhancements
You can now apply selected permissions to all child requirements, throughout the entire requirement hierarchy. You can perform this action by using the Copy Permissions to All Children option. It is available in the Permissions tab in Properties panel for repositories (and its objects) and requirement models.
Specification Management
Property data transfer between specifications
Property data transfer saves time and improves accuracy by eliminating manual re-entry, ensuring consistency and reducing errors across related specifications. You can transfer individual properties or use property templates to update existing specifications in the Manage Specifications app.
Visualization
Execute script from Browse app
You can now run scripts for a visualization from the Browse app. You can perform this by using the Execute Script option available in the option (More) on a visualization card.
