BOMBOS Prerequisties (Data to be maintained in Enviromental Parameters of BOMBOS)

Hi,

Document on BOMBOS prerequisites to be maintained as environmental parameters this are the manadatory things before goto BOMBOS.

1. Assign materials to Specification to finished product and raw material.

2.Otherwise system will create specification and assign material automatically.

During the BOM-BOS transfer in SAP EHSM Product Compliance, I receive the following error messages. Did you get the same errors during the initial set up? Do you know what is missing/incorrect?

Error 1. Invalid reference value in field COMPREL

Update -> Error 1 is fixed, by changing Parameter: BOMBOS_COMPREL to: PC (instead).

Error 2. Parent object contains error (could be caused by 1?)

Update -> Error 2 is fiex, by solving issue 1.

Error 3. Invalid reference value in field RVLID

Update -> Still an open issue.

Materials/components all contain unit of measure PC (piece) -> which cannot be converted to ST (item) by the standard user exists in Product Compliance. I have set up test BOM with UoM ST instead to avoid a warning message. I was hoping this would have solved error message 1 as well. I copied client 000 configuration for customizing activity: Environment, Health and Safety -> Basic Data and Tools -> Specification Management -> Specification Database Structure -> Component Settings -> Specify Reference Values for the Composition. What is missing?

Error 2: This is a very generic error message in the substance workbench, in case data cannot be copied correctly or in case of inconsitent data in the data tables. As I'm working on a full fresh system, I didn't expect this error. Could it be caused by error 1?

Error 3: Validity areas for Product Compliance are available as of client 000 (EHSM 6.2)

Update: Error 3 has been fixed as well. Issue was caused due to configuraiton: Specify Composition Group and Product Variants. The Product Variants configuration was configured incorrectly.

Therefore. check Bill of Substance –Bill of material (BOSBOM)

and BOM BOS Interface

You need first to understand the "EHS" approahc to handle compositiopns; then you need to understand, how BOMs are used/set up etc.

=> we need more details => please create own thread.

Check: BOMBOS Error; may be if your read you will get a "story" to look at (even considering that this is "classi BOM BOS" But i belive your issue is on "same" level

can you remenber what you changed in Product Variants configuration?
