Joinville is a city located in the south of Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina. It has a rich historical background, originally founded in 1851 as part of a land grant from the French royal family to Prince François Ferdinand of Orléans. Soon after, Joinville became home to a large wave of German, Swiss, and Norwegian immigrants, which shaped its culture, architecture, and traditions that remain vibrant to this day.
Often called the “City of Flowers” and “City of Princes,” Joinville is also famous for hosting the Joinville Dance Festival, one of the largest dance festivals in the world. Its combination of European heritage and Brazilian warmth creates a unique cultural atmosphere.
Today, Joinville is recognized as one of Brazil’s most important industrial and technological hubs, leading innovation in sectors such as software development, automotive, and manufacturing. This thriving economy has helped position the city as a strategic center for digital transformation and SAP-related opportunities.
