I am using the BTP trial version and Cloud Identity Services to do some testing on AIS and IPS functionality. In the dropdown of the IPS for both source and target systems I do not see the option of the SCIM connector (system for cross-domain identity management) to connect 3rd party systems.
Does anyone know if the SCIM connector is available for testing as part of the BTP trial version? If yes, what are the steps needed to activate/enable this so that it is available in the IPS dropdown for source and target systems?

@VedettevanKleef
SCIM Connector is not available in BTP trail accounts and even in Bundles tenant of SAP Cloud Identity Services.
SCIM Connector will be available when customer purchases SAP IAG (Identity Access Goverance) license and will be available in IPS thereafter.

Thanks for clarifying.

Just a follow-up question on this please. Is there any other way to connect a 3rd party application to IPS as a source system without the SCIM connector? Or is it then not possible to connect a 3rd party system to IPS without purchasing a license for IAG to get the SCIM connector? Or am I misunderstanding?

If your third party system supports scim there is a built in api: https://api.sap.com/api/IdDS_SCIM/resource/Users
this is used for provisioning from Entra.
