workflow role approver "parent position" is not getting triggered

when I create a new work flow for " New Position", and when it comes to Approver Type as "position relationship"

and Approver Role as a "Parent position", the workflow is not getting triggered when I create new position and entered parent position in "manage positions" it is just allowing me to save the position as I am not getting the approver alert as it is not going to the parent position for the approver

So, could you guys help me where am I missing or I need help with this.

I have another question

I have a question regarding auto generate MDF object "Division" which I have created.

For Example I have created a division name " Test_Division" and for this I need to create a auto generated sequence and don't want to disturb all the other divisions.

For this I have wrote a Business Rule and in this rule I have taken base object="DIVISION"

And in IF condition I took

"IF DIVISION.DIVISION CODE IS EQUAL TO NULL

AND

IF DIVISION. DIVISION NAME.....

I AM GETTING STUCK HERE AS I ASM UNABLE TO GET MY CREATED "TEST_DIVISION VALUE.

SO COULD ANY ONE HELP ME WITH, IT IS VERY URGENT.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THE QUESTION IS NOT CLEAR..
