Workarea configuration for SAP Companion on Ariba and Fiori

Hello,

One of my customers is willing to use SAP Companion (Web Assistant) for both SAP S4HANA FIORI and SAP Ariba.

My question is on the content organisation : is it ok to "plug" both Companions on the same Workarea ? or should we create dedicated Workarea for Ariba content eg ?

What's the best way to not confuse the authors and the systems ?

Thanks in advance.

You can put it all in one single Workarea, and they will coexist quite happily, and content will only be displayed for the relevant application, as application is part of the context.

However, I personally usually create a separate Workarea per application (for the Help content), (1) to keep things clean/compartmentalized; (2) in case maintenance of help content is hived off to a separate application support group later, and (3) because it makes it much easier to update context as all content is for the same application. There is no confusion for the authors as help content is created/maintained via the application.

I do tend to put all of the training content in the same, single workarea, though.
