Why FM HR_ECM_DELETE_INFOTYPE does not work?

Greetings!

I recently tried this FM 'HR_ECM_DELETE_INFOTYPE' for the purpose of deleting an infotype record.

From the description in the FM attributes, that is accurately what its meant for.

However, when I executed the FM, it was a swift run, with no error messages, SY-SUBRC = 0, IS_OK = X and no abnormalities at all.

But to my surprise, the record was not deleted!! I tried this with multiple PERNRs and multiple standard and custom infotypes. But this did not work for any of them.

Am I missing something here? Appreciate your guidance.

You must at least call the function module HR_ECM_FLUSH_INFOTYPE.

That worked perfectly fine!

Ans: call the function module HR_ECM_FLUSH_INFOTYPE after FM HR_ECM_DELETE_INFOTYPE.
