Where can I remove a learning recommendation that I made for another learner?

Once I have made a learning recommendation for another learner, how/where can I remove that recommendation?  E.g., the learner has moved to a new job and the recommendation is no longer applicable.

I did some research due to the new ILX, the recommendation engine and the Newsletter couple of months ago. Recommendations cannot be removed easily from the Learner. This also varies by the method of the recommendation. The best control is with the user receiving the recommendation. Meaning, he is the one in charge of the recommendations he received. They will only be listed under the recommendation section, so no direct assignment showing him up. 

As Admin, I think the only option you have is to use proxy feature and remove the recommendation manually. 
I thought the ASP would be easy, as you can also unassign the assigned items, but this does not work for recommendation 😞
