What is the value of the ApmStudentLearningPlanNotification?

Curious what other companies do regarding this notification. Do you use it, or have you disabled it? Since it pulls in learning that is not necessarily showing on the Learning landing page, it has the potential to confuse learners. Every time a recurrence is completed, a new notification is sent, which also creates confusion (KBA 2773106). Want to make sure we're not missing the value of the notification, but with the combination of VCALs, Registration/enrollment emails, this email seems duplicative.

The intent of the notification is to inform people of additions, changes, and deletions of learning assignments. Each companies decides whether there is value in informing people of learning plan changes via system notification.

We enabled learning plan, learning expiration and learning overdue notifications 1.5 years ago, and we will be disabling the learning plan email notification as there have been too many queries - as you mentioned, "it has the potential to confuse learners. Every time a recurrence is completed, a new notification is sent." So, we had to disable the notification whilst updating the learning content as course revision process also triggers the learning plan notification. Also, comms should be sent to the learners when there is a new learning initiative.

We are also using all 3 notifications. And currently we are not planing to disable the learning plan notification. Though we have disabled that the learning plan notification sends info about completed trainings, this we considered unnessary.
