What is the use of View templates available in Succession data model and BCUI

Dear Experts,

There are many templates configured in Manage business configuration section under Employee Profile. We have templates listed under view templates like -

employee profile

employeeScoreCard

sysUserDirectorySetting

Position Org chart

TalentSearch

etc..

Where are we using these fields configured in this templates.

View Template defines all available Succession Data Model elements to the system UI. It can be used to edit existing templates like the basic user file / system directory setting, talent search templates and employee scorecards.

Employee profile, Employeescorecard templates were in use in the earlier version of employee files V11 and V12.

These template configuration is used on the employee profile to set up portlet and fields under this portlets. Now we are using people profile(PP3) to configure the employee profile so these templates are not valid. These had several sync issues so we stopped using this configuration of templates.

PositionOrgChart configuration is specific to only legacy Position nomination method (no use for MDF Position).

Talent search is used to add standard fields in the keyword search for succession.

sysUserDirectorySetting is used to show which elements can be slected via configure people profile and what fields will be shown in UDF.
