Hi,
I will ask the question in an example:
in Successfactors, a manager has 200+ employees with the same position title, and we are using 1 FTE for each position.
Can I use one position and make the FTE 200+? and what is the impact if using it, will impact the ECP or any other system?
Thank you,

Yes, you can. Make sure you ensure the Mass Position flag is set to yes, that the FTE on the position is updated and that the flag to indicate if you can hire people on it stays open (in case some logic is preventing that right now if the position gets filled). From a job info perspective it of course means that you need to make quite some job data changes, but you can use mass data management for that I guess.
If it's a management position it can be tricky, because usually managers are populated by the position (hence if you have 2 managers, the system has a hard time to understand which one is the correct manager). If you hire externals/internals on this same position it gets a bit hard to exclude specific FTE/headcount correctly in reporting. In all other cases the only weird thing perhaps is that in practice the position will likely stay vacant forever, because people come and go, but I don't see that as a real problem (assuming all details, i.e. pay grade, job code etc. stay the same for all those employees).

Hello,
This was shared with us by our consultant when we started discussing having multiple FTEs in a position. apparently, there might be some issues if you're using the sync between Job information and position.
