What is the English Debug language pack used for in SuccessFactors?

We had to turn on the English Debug language because it was messing up all our forms on SuccessFactors. If I were to explain the purpose of the English Debug language pack to a client what would I tell them?

How did SAP intend for clients to use the English Debug language pack?

Right now we've just copied in all of the same English text but I imagine it is actually to put the real field names and what not for trouble shooting

The English Debug language is used by support for text replacment purposes, To disable the english debug option from Options > Change Language, please contact support and this option will be deactivated.
