What does this error mean? Document Template Generation Mapping

Hello all,

I have been working on a New hire workflow that makes use of Template Generation Documents and Template Document Mapping.

I have created the Document template and used placeholders which I then defined through Template Document Mapping. I had no issues in generating a correct document on New Hire event with all the relevant fields mapped correctly.

Last Friday I attempted to access my mapping of this template by going to "Document Generation Template Mapping"; however when I attempted to click on this specific mapping I received the following error:

When I first got his error on friday I decided to wait and see if it resolved itself, but it is still here today and I cannot find any information on what this error means.

Anyone able to shed some light on what might be happening?

Hi, thanks for the response. I have the same set up as your screenshot shows and have linked my own screenshot in this message.

Interestingly, all other template mappings I can access no problem, expect for the specific one that is causing this error to occur.

You have mentioned that you are able access all other template mappings. Hence can you check if you are able to open the mapping page for this template ? If you are able to open then can you do some dummy changes for all placeholders and save again and then check it?

Hi,

It's possible that the template and mappings were corrupted while being edited. It's worth trying to copy the existing template with a new name and see if you can access the new mapping without any errors.
