WFA on HANA Dimension

While validating a custom dimension I have found the following scenario:

I am looking at EOP HC analyzed by custom dimension, 2025 so basically as of today.

I have a user with 2 events happening in EC on the same date, 1st Nov 2024.

First event is a Transfer, which WFA captures.

Second event is a Position Change, which WFA does not capture.

In the second event entry, the user has a change in the source field of the custom dimension.

When analyzing as mentioned above, EOP HC analyzed by custom dimension, 2025 so basically as of today, I get the old value (prior to Position Change) in the custom dimension node.

Why is this and how can I fix it? Even if I do not capture the Position Sync, I still need just 1 event per day in order to capture the correct data? I think that it is an automated event, not even performed manually by someone so it could basically happen to many other users (?!).

Hi @abalasescu2, the dimension value depends on when it is appear in the employee record. I am not sure how this custom dimension is sourced. Is it directly from a field in the Job Info table? If this come from Job Info table, then the new dimension value will appear from effective start date value of the record. You may want to check if you have configure Job Info table correctly, e.g. there should be sequence number setup because of multiple records on the same day. Also you mentioned the event happened on 1 November 2024 but you checked headcount in 2025. Is there a new record after 1 Nov 2024 that change the dimension value back? My suggestion is to pull all records for this employee and then compare against the logic in WFA on HANA. Thank you.
