Hello dear community,
I have a specific question about tracking of progress status of SCORM learnings in SuccessFactors Learning Management System. I found some blogs of yours about tracking status but what I wonder is a bit more specific comparing to the general tracking. Assume that we created a book page and inserted a video on it. Then publish that book page as SCORM to SuccessFactors Learning Management System. Since the book page consists of just one book page, once the user opened that training and saw the book page, LMS counted that training as completed. Even though the user didn't finish the video, it counts as completed. Is it possible tracking not only the general training but also video progress status? And, if the user left the video without watching till the end and closed the training, after coming back can that video in the training continue from where it's left?
Request clarification before answering.
Not possible, sorry. SAP Enable Now only passes to the LMS that the Book Page has been displayed (rendered on the screen - there's no guarantee the Learner actually read it). If the video is also an asset within the SCORM package (that is, it is a Media Object in the same structure, and linked to from the Book Page then SEN may pass that it has been launched, but I don't know for sure if it actually tracks Media Objects.
There may be some mechanism within an LMS that could track how much of a video has been watched if the video is loaded as a separate SCO, and the LMS has its own video player that can pass back info on how much of the video has been watched, but that would be specific to the LMS (not SEN) and I'm not aware of any such functionality existing in SuccessFactors (although I could be wrong)
