Variable Pay - Proration calculation

Hello everyone,

We have some projects in Brazil where it's necessary that the calculation of the "Proration" field be not based on the number of days, but on the months worked by the employee. According to this logic, we have a small difference in the calculated value, for example:

Brazil scenario

Months worked: 10

Total Months: 12

Proration: 0.8333

Standard SF

Assignment begin date: 1/3/2021

Assignment end date: 12/31/2021

Bonus plan begin date: 1/1/2021

Bonus plan end date: 12/31/2021

Proration: 83.8356%

There is any possibility of configuration or any suggestions for us to generate the value according to the months worked (Brazil scenario)?

Hello!

Has somebody found a workaround for this? To use months instead of days? Currently having some employees changing salary midyear and because SF calculates in days and we just divide total salary based on months, it gives few euros difference.

Thank you!

There is no workaround unless heavy calculation/ white elephant situation.

Hi roger.costa

No we don't support month based proration unless it's based on the hire date for the one month where the person arrived in the company where we can round down or up to the nearest month start date.

Variable Pay standard uses exact dates-based proration.

All the best,

Hi xavierlegarrec

I have the requirement to prorate bonus on the hire date for the one month like you mentioned above. How we can achieve this in variable pay? Please advise
