Using Smart Links in Book Page Templates

Hi Community,

We are using this smart link $#{project:.uid}:demo (see picture below) to connect our demo/practice modes in our book page templates. This is very helpful in reducing the work of our authors.

However, I tried to apply this smart link to shapes and images, but it seems not to be working. Is this link applicable only to text? Is there a specific smart link for shapes and images?

Hi Justin,

The only way to get this to work is to open the Text field of the Text Box insert a link by clicking the yellow + on the dialogue box that appears.  This is still a text link, inside the Text Box, but that resolves correctly.

If you try to insert the smart link through the Link field of the Text Box, it does not resolve correctly and tries to link to the Book Page object, not the Simulation.

You could try creating a support ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-PRO to get support involved in the conversation and see if there is any workarounds to the issue.
