Users Cannot See Their Own Contingent Worker Profile in SAP SuccessFactors People Profile

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central where employees cannot see their own Contingent Worker (CW) profile in the People Profile, regardless of their permission roles.

Scenario:
As an administrator, I can see another employee’s both profiles (if they have both a contingent worker and a regular employee profile).
However, no employee (myself included), regardless of their permission roles, can see their own contingent worker profile in People Profile.

What I Have Checked:

• Employee On Self Permission Role: My first suspicion was that this issue is related to Employee On Self permissions, so I checked Manage Permission Roles for the relevant role. However, I couldn't find any apparent permissions that would allow an employee to view their own CW profile.
• Role-Based Permissions (RBP): Even users with full access (including admins) cannot see their own CW profile, so maybe it really is not just an RBP issue.
• Target Population: Permissions are properly set, and the issue persists across all users.
• Employee Profile Configuration: No apparent restrictions that would prevent users from viewing their own CW profile.
• Employment Type Transition: This happens even if the CW profile still exists separately after conversion to a regular employee.

Questions:

• Is this a known limitation in Employee Central where users cannot see their own CW profile?
  Are there any workarounds or configuration settings that allow employees to access their own CW profile?
• Has anyone faced a similar issue, and how was it resolved?

Would appreciate any insights or best practices!

Update:

I’ve confirmed that the Employment Switcher is available in our Production instance, but not in the Demo environment.

That’s good enough for me at this point — I won’t be raising a support ticket.
