User Permission groups in Advanced Workflow

In Advanced Workflows, How can we fetch all the permission groups a user belongs to ?

I am basically looking for something like a resp function which I couldn't spot in the context info.

Hi,

My apology for waiting so long for the answer from Workflow Engineering.

It is possible in the Setup - > Users -> Users page, when you find a user, to click on the 3 dots, and then on 'View Permission Details', then a popup will open. Inside the popup, if you click on the tab 'Permission Groups', you can see to which permission groups that user belongs to.

Currently we don't have a scripting method which can return this result. However, it could be possible to create a new method for this if you need to get this from scripting. Can you please provide us some use cases on why you need this as a scripting method?

Hi Lana - Thanks for the response.

We are actually looking for a scripting method which helps figure out all the permission groups assigned to a user.

Currently, a workflow created for one of the customers is looking for all the permission groups for the logged in user but due to non-availability of the exact function, we are doing it the other way round i.e. looping the logged in user through all the permission groups and returning the matches.

This is obviously taking more time than the ideal way and hence the ask.
