Hi,
I want to understand why the user is unable to view assets (guided tour) I created using SAP Companion for Desktop.
When the user tried to view the context-sensitive content (guided tour) related to the SAP logon screen, the guided tour appeared and then suddenly disappeared.
I followed all the steps prior to sharing the SAP companion for desktop download link with the users: Creating SAP companion library, Uploading the content to server, publishing it on Manager and then providing the final .inav link.
When they try to view the content (guided tour in particular), they see the guided tour tab for one second and then it disappears. Why do you think that is happening?
I have also attached a screenshot to provide an example of what else the user is seeing while viewing the content.
Looking forward to your response.

That message in your screenshot is displayed because you have not deselected the two 'notify when' scripting options in SAPGui. Correct that (probably the link Shane points to explains where to find them) and see if that helps.

Hi,
It sounds like one of two things is happening:
1. To use SAP Companion for Desktop with ECC, you must turn on scripting in the client and on the server. Make sure that the user has done this, refer to chapter 2.2.2.2 of the Producer User Manual
2. The content should continue to appear in SAP Companion for Desktop while the context remains the same. If the user has not opened another application or another application has not made itself the active application, the content should remain there. Can the user try closing all other applications and see if one of the other applications running in the background, e.g. Zoom, is continually making itself the active application. If it is, the context is changing so the content in SAP Companion for Desktop will also change.
Regards
Shane
