Hi All:

One of the aspects of uPerform that I am not seeing in SEN was empowering the End User to monitor and track updates to the training materials.

Will/does the user have access to interact with the training beyond setting a Favorites folder? (e.g.: Resetting their password, getting a notification of changes/updates, discussion groups, etc.)

Thanks.

It depends on where they are accessing the content from.

  • If the user accesses content via Manager (Learner View) they will have access to the Settings tab where they can change their password (assuming not SSO).
  • If they access via Web Assistant, they can access a 'community' (which would give you your Discussion Groups). You could probably add a link to a community into the Description for every piece of content if you wanted (painful to retrofit, but if you're just starting out, you can set it up easily enough using templates and/or a standard Text Unit.
  • Via the Trainer they have the ability to provide feedback and/or a rating; also via Web Assistant > Learning Center. It's a bit inconsistent at the moment, but I see that my improvement request to standardize this seems to be penciled in for 2Q 2020
  • Accessing via an LMS (such as SuccessFactors - you're limited to whatever exists there).

Agree that it would be nice to have a 'subscribe' feature in the Trainer, so users can get a notification when something has changed - maybe a good candidate for an Improvement Request.

Personally, I'd like to see a 'Comments' feature so users can leave comments and/or discuss content - just like you get on YouTube, or most blogging websites. Anything we can do to increase user's engagement with the content will increase its use.

Happy to hear from others on this.
