Hi Ryan,

Can you please tell us a little more about the application. Is it Fiori apps running on BTP, ECC Asset Management functionality accessed by the GUI or some other solution?

Regards
Shane

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately, there are many different technologies used to create functionality, e.g. Fiori, HTML for GUI and Web DynPro. SAP Companion does not work with all of these technologies so we need to understand more about what specifically is happening to have a better idea of SAP Companion is likely to work.

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that this provides the information that we need. MDK stands for Mobile Development Kit so I know that you are building apps that can be run on PCs and mobile devices but am not sure what technology is being used, e.g. Fiori. If the apps are built with some other technology but have a Fiori front end, there is a chance that SAP Companion will work. Take a look at the Business Technology Platform section of the SAP Companion Supported Applications document.

Hi Shane, Thanks for the extra info. Greatly appreciated. The application is being run/set up the same way as the SuccessFactors app is run. I am still trying to find out more information about the app. I will look at the documentation and see what I can find out.

Hi Shane, I have found out more information to the question. So Asset Manager is a MDK app running on BTP accessing the data from S/4. This app is running on the same platform as the SuccessFactors app.

Thanks

Hi Shane, thanks for your response. I have asked the team implementing the app and the contact I have cannot definitively answer those questions above. He did however point me to the SAP help portal information regarding the app SAP Asset Manager. According to the documentation the app is calling the SAP cloud platform.

I will try and find out more and post it here to this chat later.
