update a course template

Hi!!

In my company we are going to change the brand manual, and we want to modify a course template that we created in enable now so that all courses have everything related to the new brand.

When we modify the template, will automatically all the courses already created will be updated with the new template or will they remain with the old template and should I modify them manually?

Hi lramirezhernandez,

If courses in your company use book page templates (book page icon with a dotted border), then new design will be applied automatically once you change templates. This magic won't work, if course book pages was built using another regular book page as a template.

Thank so much for your help. I was using a regular book as a template, that was my mistake!

But, can you please explain me how to create a template?, it is't clear for me.

What Anton said. And if you followed the best practices for Book / Book Page Template creation, even if you have a Book 'Template' that contains Book Pages (not Book Page Templates - out of necessity), hopefully those Book Pages were at least created from a Book Page Template, so changes will still ripple through everything. The exact case you mention (rebranding) is one of the main drivers for a robust Templating approach.
