I followed the tutorial - Extracting Data from Enable Now using 3rd Party Reporting Tool (Info Center) and after setting up local user for enable now when I tried to perform the step "Connect and use Response data", I am not able to authenticate using Local user - It throws attached error message.

Can anyone help in understanding the reason for this?

Hi Shubham,

If your Enable Now Manager URL is https://abc.enable-now.cloud.sap/ then you can log in with your manual user accounts using https://abc.enable-now.cloud.sap/formlogin/.

The alternative is to log in using SSO and then to click the circle with your initials in the top, right corner in Manager and log out. That will also take you to the manual login page.

Thanks Shane, It is now giving incorrect username/password for this user. I am sure the password and username is right but any ways asked our Admin to get it updated. Will check on this and update you if still having problems.

Hi Shubham,

Sorry not really my area but I did find an article online that indicated that this type of error could occur due to special characters in the content being combined. The suggestion was to open the Query Editor and see what was causing the error but you will need to speak to a Power BI person about the best way to troubleshoot the error.

Hi Shubham,

Have you logged into Enable Now Manager manually at least once using the same credentials. If your Manager is configured to request users to acknowledge data privacy details before they can use their account, this can block the connection, if the user has not accepted the privacy statement?

Outside that, I suspect that your user account either doesn't have the correct permissions or does not have access to the Workarea that you are trying to report on.

Hi Shane,
Thanks for the response. We have already given Report Viewers role to this user in Enable Now.

However, I am not able to login with this user in Manager as it goes to SSO page and so doesn't recognize the login credentials for the local user created in Enable Now.
Which account should we use for connecting with Power BI, if this is the case?

Hi Shane,

We added standard author access to the local user along with Report Viewers and now it works but not completely.

I am getting below error after applying the changes -

Any suggestions on where am I going wrong?
