Unable to Import Objects, Rules, UI's from Test to PROD System due to a error.

Good day!

We are unable to import Objects, Business Rules, UI's from Test to PROD system using Import and Export data tool due to a error: Cannot find field: messageDefinitions in object: Rule.

We have done the following:

* Import and Export Data

* Select Export.

* Select Generic Object - Object Definition

* Select all data records - No

* Select objects - AUSDD(One of the objects related to form in the test instance)

* Export from Test Instance

*And when we try to import the same file in the PROD system we get an error(Cannot find field: messageDefinitions in object: Rule) in the log report of the failed import.

As per the error, we found that there was no messageDefnition field in the Rule object in the Configure Object Definition. Referring to the test system we added messageDefinition under association section of the rule object. Still we are facing the same error.

We have also tried using Configuration Transport Center to Transfer Objects, Only the Objects without any business rules associated are getting Transported successfully from the TEST to the PROD instance.

Kindly assist us with the error as this is highly impacting our Go-Live timeline.

This is expected behavior. With new release message definition object is also now associated with the objects. Currently UAT is on 2H 2023 and Prod is on 1H 2023 so you will face this error. If you can wait for another month then this issue would be resolved automatically as both systems will be on 2H 2023. If you cannot wait then you can manually set association of Message defination with relevant object. For that find your object in UAT system and similary try confuring in Production system
