For some reason, I am unable to assign a task in Manager to some users in spite of being able to find them in the user management interface @ Administration > Users.
Can someone please help?
Thank you.
David
1. In Manager, select object
· Go to the Task tab
· Click dropdown beside the Assigned To: field
· Enter search term for user name
Result: Search returns “No results”
2. In Manager, go to Administration > Users
· Scroll down to find user
Result: User exists and account is active

Are you using Workflow? Is that user 'authorized' to process a transition out of the current status? That would be my guess. This was missing in earlier releases and you could assign a task to a user who wasn't defined as a 'processor' in the Workflow. I asked for it to be changed (so you can only select users who can actually execute a transition out of the current state), but I hadn't heard that was actually implemented. Maybe it has, now? Can't think why else you wouldn't be able to select them...

Or the user doesn't have permission to edit content in this workarea. However, I bet on your guess with missing workflow permissions.
