**** Can "Transfer Forms to New Manager" tool be used when EC is implemented along with PMGM?******
**Form template settings has " Do Not Transfer Documents" and client HR is Manually changing settings to "Automatic Manager Transfer". - using the above tool to transfer forms and reverting back settings as of now ***
Dear Experts-
Our client has both PMGM and EC implemented and wants to transfer Performance forms to a new manager. However, they don't want to use the automatic function in HRIS sync for this (ie that forms are transferred automatically when you change an employee's manager in employee file\job information). The reason for this is that if an employee has started to fill out their form and the manager quits, the form ends up with the superior manager. Since the form may contain sensitive information, they don't want to use this feature because the employee may not want the superior manager to see this information.
They have found the tool “Transfer forms to new manager” and are happy with that. They activate settings in the form temporarily when they want to transfer a form, and then change back to "Do not send documents" again.
We know that the "Transfer forms to new manager" tool should not be used when Employee Central is enabled since the data is synced incorrectly. We could see that Org. Chart was updated with the new manager specified in the "Transfer form to new Manager" tool. But the old manager was still manager in the Position Org. Chart as well as in employee file. We assume this is an example of the data not syncing correctly. Could you please confirm this? And can you please provide other examples of what can be synced incorrectly?
Finally, we need a reply from you where you clearly state that this tool is not recommended when EC is enabled, if that is the case."
