The setting that controls this is in Manager under Administration > Server Settings > Security and Passwords > Password Settings > Inform About Expiring Password (Days). It will send a reminder at the number of days specified and subsequent day until it is changed. Make sure this number is not too high (7 days max seems reasonable).
If you are receiving multiple messages per day, and/or still receiving them even after the password has been changed, I would hazard a guess that these additional ones are being sent from the preview instance (I've seen problems with other notifications during the preview period). In this case you may want to open an Incident and see if there's a way SAP can stop any notifications from being sent out from preview (you can test to see if this is really causing the multiple notifications by changing the settings (and maybe a specific user's password) in preview and seeing if the notifications stop).
