Time zone display in classroom registration screen - LMS

Hi,

In LMS, the timezone is not displayed in the classroom final registration screen, when an user is trying to book themself for a course.

The class time zone is not showing in the final steps of class registration. This is causing confusion with learners because the time they see inside the system may not match the calendar invitation they receive if they are in a different time zone than the class time zone.

The class time zone does show up in the class list view so we know it can be shown however, for some reason not towards the final steps of the registration process. Once they receive the class confirmation email and the calendar invite are in correct and in the time zone of the individual location.

Is there any way, the LMS is equipped to display the timezone or can it be taken as suggestion to enhance the product for future consideration?

Hello would really appreciate some assistance with this, as experiencing exactly the same issue and Karen's answer is not really helping.

How exactly to enable 'View Times in the Class Time Zone' setting from Course Home? Because I understand Govind and Pratiksha are trying to set this through Application administration as per article (https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/2549613), same as myself.

Please help? 🙂

Hi Karen,

I checked and can confirm that this has been enabled. Though, the option of "Enable User to Choose the Class Time Zone display" is unticked. Do we need to turn it on to make it to work?

Dear Govind,

Are you using the Course Home? If yes, do you have the setting 'View Times in the Class Time Zone' enable? Besides that, we always need to make sure that the timezone is correct for each user. You can check one by going to the Learning Page, Users Settings.

We are not using Couse Home in our instance. Is it possible to enable it in our instance? Otherwise, how to display it without using Course Home?

No, you don't need to use the Course Home to have this info displayed. Can you send me a screenshot of where you are missing the timezone info, so I will be able to help you more.

We always have the time zone showing in the registration screens. Do you have the 'Default to User's Time Zone for Display of Classes' flagged?

Does this user have a time zone defined?

Thanks for helping us out with this issue. I am Govind's colleague and can continue to participate in this conversation.

Course Home is enabled in our instance and even after we flagged the mentioned setting 'Default to User's Time Zone for Display of Classes', users do not see their Time zone displayed on the class registration screen.
