The requirement is that the time type of category absence and attendance are all shown in one Story filter and the User can pick a any time type and gets the start time and end time. My guess is that this is not possible because it depends on the primary source of the story query or in depends on the category, since either all attendances/absences are in one separate filter but they cannot be combined in one filter.
