The client's request consists of Incrementing the monthly balance of paid leave on the 1st of the following month

Hi there, if you still need your accruals to be on a Monthly Basis, you could configure your rules based on the Monthly Frequency and post the accrual amount on a different Date than the Accruable Start Date.
You can use the Function "Date Plus" to extend the Accruable Start Date to be posted one month after. You need to be clear though with your requirements, as this might be confusing.
