Dear experts,
We have a customer who would like to implement in SuccessFactors rules for reducing the vacation entitlement by hours or days of absences such as sickleave or unpaid leave - these absences are not set as LoA.
For example, if you are entitled as a full time employee to 25 days of vacation yearly (generated accrual) and you take 3 days of unpaid leave, your vacation should be automatically adjusted to 24 days. There are ranges defined depending on the type of absence relevant for reducing vacation and rules for each of such absences. A proration needs to be applied for part timers.
I was thinking to try adjusting the vacation accrual rule to count the absences and set a lookup table behind for reduction, but not sure how to have it triggered and moreover not sure if that would be feasible to avoid any unwanted impact.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered a similar request - if yes, how was it solved? If not, any idea on how to get it implemented?
Thank you for your advice!
