Time Account Parameter in Get Balance For Posting Types In Period() function

I am trying to use this function “Get Balance For Posting Types In Period()” in business rule to get the vacation accrual for the period (Jan 1, 2019 to Dec 2, 2019). The problem I am facing is to pass the value in Time Account parameter in function. If I entered the hard code value than the function returns the value, however, I don’t want to pass the hardcoded value but the value to be determined dynamically based on vacation time account for an employee. I have a unique requirement from client to calculate and display the accrual as of today and display to employee when they are going to submit the new vacation request. I understand that employee can see the accrual balance as of today in Account View option in Balance Overview page but client has other reason to display the information elsewhere. I also wanted to use this function for Entitlement as Transfer process to calculate different balance based on Posting Type

What I am trying to achieve: When employee clicks “New Absence” button to submit vacation request, the employee should be able to see the Accrual balance as of today. I wanted to use this business rule to get the accrual (Posting Type = Accrual) from employee vacation time account for the period of Jan 1, 2019 to Dec 2, 2019 (as of Today)

I have also tried to configure the business rule using the basic scenario, but it didn’t help. I couldn’t find information on how to pass the value to Time Account parameter in function.
