Text Units display behaviour in SAP Companion For Desktop

Hi all, recently I have noticed the display behaviour of text units has changed in SAP Companion for desktop.
I remember when I opened the text unit last time in SAP Companion for desktop, it opened up a trainer playback window and show me the text unit (like how it is shown in library format). However, lately when I was trying to open it again, it is only shown within the SAP Companion for desktop window, instead of popping up another trainer playback window for the text unit.

I have tried clicking the Play button as well as the entry itself, but it still doesn't show me in the trainer playback window.

It doesn't show me this window anymore:

Can anyone please help? Or is there any recent official changes to the SAP Companion for desktop?

Hi Choong Win,

Yes, you are correct; this behaviour does appear to have changed. I suggest that you raise a ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-NAV and see if there is something that can be done to resolve this.

Shane

Hi Choong Win,

I don't think the behaviour has changed. By default, if you click the text entry in the SAP Companion window you drill down to display the Description of the object. In the case of a text unit, that's the actual text. If you click the button beside the text in the SAP Companion window, the circle with a triangle button, it should open the text unit into a new window, just like you want.

You and switch the behaviour of what happens when you click the text of the object or button beside the object by modifying the Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings object, located in the Adaptable Resources. Modify the Switch SAP Companion Direct Start and More Option, which is located in the SAP Companion > Content and Behaviour section of SAP Companion Playback Settings.
