Can I disable test mode so that users can take it but not run the test?
Request clarification before answering.
Thank you for your answers!
My question is, if I want the user to do the test mode but I don't need to evaluate it or generate the evaluation report, is it possible?
My other question is, can I choose which fields the test mode evaluates? Like for example. I don't want to evaluate data entry actions on text fields.
Thank you!!

Do what Shane says: just don't show the End Page and the user will not see their' result'. It will be recorded and be available on Manager reports, though...
Why do you not want to evaluate data entry actions? Are you saying it doesn't matter if a Learner enters an incorrect value? That's setting a dangerous precedent... True, it shouldn't be a typing test, but if they have to be careful about what they enter in the actual application, it might be a good idea to get them into that habit during training. You are trying to simulate reality, after all. Just my thoughts. But if you really don't care what they type in, you can use a Regular Expression to allow them to enter anything - although that will look weird if they can enter any value, but then on the next screen it miraculously shows a different (correct) value...
If you don't want them to even have to perform the data entry actions you can use Mode Change macros and switch to Demo mode for that step, but again, I think that would be more confusing than helpful. What are you trying to achieve here?
If you mean can you disable Test mode but leave the other modes available for users, yes. Just change your settings under Tools > Settings > Producer > Save > Standard and deselect Test. That will stop Test mode from being generated every time you save a simulation. You'll need to delete any existing test modes that have already been generated for your simulation(s).

Hi Maria,
Not exactly sure what you mean by users can access Test mode but not take the test. I assume that you mean that they will not get the result at the end of the Test mode Simulation. If that is what you are looking to do, you should should turn off the Stop Page for the Test Mode content player, by:
1. Open Producer
2. Locate the select the Resources > Adaptable Resources > Playback Settings object and start editing this object
3. Double click the Playback Settings object to open it
4. Click the on the Test Mode playback settings object and open the Visual Properties section of Settings
5. Turn off the Show Stop Page setting and save the change"
6. Synchronise the Playback Settings object back to Manager and publish the object

This will allow users to run the Test Mode of Simulation but they will not get the result at the end.
Regards
Shane
