Tablet won't display PDF inside of an item without opening a new window or PDF viewer

When I add a PDF to an item with an AICC wrapper, it works fine on PC. However, when taking the item on mobile tablet, it prompts to download the PDF and open in another tab or PDF viewer app. I would like it to display natively inside of the same tab.

More Info

  • Tablet: Zebra Technologies ET51 running Android Version 11
  • Using Microsoft Edge browser, but does the same thing in Chrome

Things I have already tried/configured

  • Enable Mobile Content checkbox is checked in the content object
  • Launch in new Window is not checked
  • In the system config, I have added PDF as an accepted file type

Thank you!

@markmumf, the content file name stands to have spaces (%20) (KBA 2768097). Could you please remove the spaces and attempt to launch the course again?

My apologies for the late response; I have been out of office.

No, unfortunately that did not fix the issue. After fixing and re-uploading, I am still being prompted to download.

Also, just for clarification, when I say "open in a new window", I mean that LMS prompts me to download. Once I download, I open it and it opens in a new browser tab/window. It still does not natively display in LMS even in the new tab/window.

No worries about the late response. Can you verify Chrome's configuration in the tablet, like explained in the KBA 2642946?

It looks like this is a setting for desktop, but not a setting in the tablet browser app. The tablet is missing a handful of options that are available on desktop, and this is one. I am using an unmanaged tablet right now, so this does not have to do with any IT restrictions or anything of that nature.
