Hi everyone,
I'm new to the SAP Community. Since April, I've been self-learning SAP HCM through free SAP courses, Udemy, and YouTube tutorials. A friend has also helped me with training access, so I can practice. I chose HCM because I have a strong background in HR (6 years).
Today, I feel confident in the following areas:
What do you suggest for the next step in my career? I'm currently not working, so I need to reenter the job market. I would appreciate any suggestions on improving my learning, where to find courses, or companies that invest in training and onboarding.

I believe that your first step would be to find a company that uses SAP HCM and apply for an HR job that you have the qualifications for, even if it's only HR Clerk, or to find a SAP HCM Consulting Firm and apply for a beginning level job, such as Customer Service Clerk. Once on the job, you should have some opportunities to demonstrate that you have knowledge beyond the position's job description.
Note that to my knowledge, SAP HCM should be near it's end of support, and Cloud solutions (such as Success Factors) are the new norm, so finding an entry level job should be your first priority, then you can spend some time to learn about the system they use.
