Successfactors Story Report - employee report date filter

Hi,

I am currently starting with SF reporting and wanted to set up the following report:

in a story report (table) I want to display all active employees at a certain time in the past or the future. I can activate the filter for active employee but do not understand how to set up the filter for the date. when I build the query SF asks me for a specific date but I want to put this option on the page filter. Can someone help me out here.
