SuccessFactors Stories issue: Codes appearing in dimension input control

Hello--we are having the following issue in a dimension input control.  

This occurs randomly and will appear to our report consumers, which is a very bad user experience. Per SAP Support, the only way to fix it is to remove and re-add the fields to the dimension input control.  SAP support has told us that this is due to a metadata change and it is a known issue.  We don't understand how the metadata changes and are dissatisfied with how this is working.   

Has anyone else experienced this?  Have you come up with any workarounds?

Hello,

Actually SAP is right, this happens when you have significant changes in your Query (e.g. your removed some dimensions from the Query), but didn't do any changes in the Designer. The other reason could be, that some changes were done in EC to those objects that you use in your dimension input control.

So first I would check the Query Preview, it works fine and doesn't fail, then edit the dimension input control.

I have build hundreds of the reports for different customers and per my experience, this happens really seldom only in case there some problems with EC or the set-up of the report (but you always can track it by doing Query preview)

Hi Olga, thanks for your reply. We did see this when making a query change, and would fix it accordingly. However, our customer is indicating that it is happening without them changing the query, which could mean that the underlying objects are changing. Thanks for your insight!
