Successfactors LMS permission role trouble

Hello! I was looking for needed permissions in LEARNING_ADMIN role. I've made a few mistakes by checking not the right boxes. As a result, now every user with this role has missed all of their permissions and there are no admins without this role. Maybe it is possible somehow to reset the changes?

Thank you in advance!

Hi nadzeya_melnik, I hope you are doing Well.

As mentioned by nageshpolu is strongly recommended that don`t use any default roles to map your internal roles. In this case you need to do a ROLE copy, RENAME and use it.

Here is one how to export roles workflows >> Roles for Exporting Data - SAP Help Portal and here you can find more about Roles >> Defining Roles for SAP SuccessFactors Learning

I attached (admin-role-learning-admin.txt) my default role LEARNING_ADMIN workflows, where you can import. To execute this you need to go System Administration >> System Management Tools >> Import Data >> Admin Role.

ATTENTION: Rename the attached file to .xlsx before the import process.

Bear in mind that is better RENAME the name for the ROLE in the archive for LEARNING_ADMIN_NEW or something like this and them import.

After this you can copy and create your new ROLE.

I hope this helps

Thank you for answering! But the main issue is we are not able to access System Administration, as all of admins had lost their permission. Maybe there is a way to do it from provisioning?

Hi nadzeya_melnik

I understood you case, but in Provisioning you can`t create any Admin User for LMS or give Admin Permissions because the only way to do is inside the LMS.

I suggest you to raise a Ticket to SAP Support asking for to change to default the LEARNING_ADMIN role and give back the permissions in LMS.

I hope this helps

You have to rework on the workflows. Create a copy of the default role before you make any changes.

Hi It's always recommended not to use system default roles, these roles will reset more frequently (in every patch instead of every release and some patches). Even though you make any changes, later in any of the patch update, you may loose the changes adopted. Instead create a copy of the role, rework on the workflows before reassignig to the admins.

Hi. So it's possible to deal with it just by updating the system?
